Our Story

Salam Humanitarian Foundation is a non-profit organization operating in Turkey and Syria, dedicated to alleviating the suffering caused by the ongoing conflict, particularly among the most vulnerable groups such as children and women. Their approach is rooted in humanitarian values and human rights principles. The foundation provides humanitarian, preventive, relief, and development programs to improve living conditions and social practices, aiming to establish a safe civil society. Founded in Aleppo, Syria in November 2012, Salam Humanitarian Foundation became a member of the Federation of Turkish Organizations in 2016. Their vision is a society characterized by social justice, where individuals can live with dignity and safety. The organization's mission involves providing aid and assistance to conflict-affected populations, focusing on comprehensive and sustainable initiatives that address societal needs both within and outside Syria. They are committed to equal rights and opportunities for all, striving for an inclusive society free from discrimination. With values such as equality, integrity, solidarity, flexibility, transparency, cooperation, and neutrality, Salam Humanitarian Foundation delivers a range of services. These include caring for orphans and children, providing education, distributing food and clothing, establishing camps for displaced people, offering financial grants for education, providing healthcare services, and delivering protection and psychosocial support for women and children.
